This project was executed while the “Presence of Absence”, the faculty-led program in Berlin. The program aims to autonomously explore and research its own subject, based on the program’s theme of “The Presence of Absence.”

According to Adolf Loos, "Absence of ornament has brought the other arts to unsuspected heights.”  My interest was exploring how minimalism and experimental music utilize the power of absence to create impactful listening experiences. "Minimal Musikfestival" (branding) aims to showcase how absence presents in both music genres, and how minimalism music has influenced contemporary experimental music.

Minimalism in music involves deliberately reducing musical elements to create simplicity and clarity, which results in a unique and powerful listening experience. This has inspired the creation of new sounds, techniques, and structures that challenge traditional music. Similarly, experimental music explores unconventional sounds and techniques to create unique and unexpected sonic experiences.

** HMCT Gallery Exhibition
